State Gym
State Gym, located on the far west side of campus, blends history and innovation. The eastern portion was completed in 1913. The western portion is an addition that was completed in 2012. State Gym features a climbing and bouldering wall, a leisure pool with high-dive, hundreds of pieces of fitness equipment, sport courts, cardio machines, two indoor tracks, and more.
Notice: Beyer Hall's pool will be closing for extended maintenance beginning Friday, April 4. In response, we will expand lap swim and open swim hours for the pool in State Gym. Beginning Sunday, April 6, State Gym's pool will operate:
Lap Hours: 6:30-8:30am Monday-Friday 11am-1pm Monday-Friday
Open Hours: 6-10pm Monday-Friday 1-5pm Saturday and Sunday
State Gym Pool Highlights
- Shallow water space (3 ft 6in) that includes areas for water basketball and water volleyball
- Deep water space (12 ft 6in) with a 3-meter diving platform
- Vortex pool for walking against or floating with the current
- 25-person hot tub
