Thielen Student Health Center has physicians and advanced registered nurse practitioners (ARNP) available by appointment to see you for your illness or injury concerns.
We treat a variety of primary health care concerns such as upper respiratory infections, strep throat, influenza, rashes, infections and more.
For those with chronic or ongoing conditions, we know that managing your health is a vital part of being a successful student. We’re happy to work with your hometown providers or specialists to coordinate your care while you’re here at school. Our resource nurses will work with you and your healthcare team to make sure that all of your health needs are met while you’re at Iowa State. Just give us a call at (515) 294-5801, ask for a resource nurse, and we’ll help you sort out the details!
In addition, we provide radiology services when x-rays are needed and a large range of laboratory testing, including tests for sexually transmitted infections and pregnancy.
We treat all types of injury including sprains, strains, and broken bones. Students are also able to utilize our physical therapists for follow-up care.
Our psychiatrists see many patients for depression, ADD/ADHD and other mental health concerns.
