Note: Due to renovations in the Student Services Building, the self help room is currently unavailable. Students are encouraged to utilize Cyclone Support Central in Parks Library.

The Cyclone Support Room in the Student Services Building contains 4 stations at which students can utilize biofeedback and/or light therapy services along with additional personal empowerment tools. While accessible to all students, we do ask that all available items remain within the Self-Help Room.

  • These stations must be reserved by students via Navigate prior to use.
  • Current biofeedback sensors and apps are through the Unyte/Wild Divine company and are not generally affordable to the mainstream. College can be an excellent opportunity for students to utilize the equipment at no cost to them.
  • Current light therapy boxes are from Sympa. They weigh just over a pound and offer a maximum intensity of 15,000 lux with a dimming feature ranging between 20% and 100% of that light intensity.
  • Like the sun, these should not be looked directly at. They should be off to the side or in the background of what a student is doing while using a Self-Help Station.
  • The additional personal empowerment tools made available to students range from scented dough and breath boards to sour taffy and journal prompts.
